What’s the Best Water Purifier Option?
If you’re serious about getting the safest, best tasting water for you and your family, you’ve probably looked into the option of at-home water purifiers. But once you start looking around, you see that there are a lot of options in the water purification market.
The system most recommended by the EPA (environmental protection agency) is the “Carbon Block” or “Granular Carbon Filters.” Using filters to catch undesirable elements, this system accounts for and removes bacteria, color, metals, and chemicals.
Other less effective systems include point-of-use-distillation, reverse osmosis, and pitcher and/or carafe filters. While each of these systems does improve the quality of your drinking water, carbon remains the most effective means to remove the most harmful elements.
Other systems can also filter out positive elements such as minerals. So be careful when selecting a water purifying system. Find the best balance for you and your family between price, taste, and effectiveness.
